Social Work Netherlands represents the interests of more than 500 social work organizations, which together represent over eighty percent of the sector. “To serve those members as well as possible, a good CRM system is essential for us,” says back-office manager Saskia Driesen, who is responsible for both the IT and the membership administration of the association.
The first ten years
The collaboration between Bluecore and Sociaal Werk Nederland dates back about ten years. Saskia herself has worked for Sociaal Werk Nederland for over five years and first came into contact with Bluecore when the interface of Aurea CRM was due for a refresh. The interface wasn't always user-friendly, so together we examined every button and element and made adjustments where necessary. The result: a more transparent CRM solution. Saskia has been enthusiastic about the collaboration from the start. “It's always within budget and within the agreed time,” she says. “We see Bluecore as the expert who knows everything about the technical aspects of our CRM system, who knows exactly which boxes need to be checked so that parameters communicate with each other.”
Another project involved the ticketing system, where members could ask their labor law questions. Bluecore has fully built that system into Aurea CRM, according to Saskia. “That went very smoothly; the building process was really easy.”
Integrate member portal with CRM
In 2024, the non-profit organization decided it was time for a new website. The old software was no longer supported, so everything had to be rebuilt from scratch. The choice for a completely new website also presented an opportunity to add a member portal, thereby offering the supporters more value in the form of exclusive information. “That was an exciting and large project,” Saskia reflects.
Bluecore was responsible for the secure integration of this portal with Aurea CRM and worked closely with both the web and portal builders. During an online meeting, technical terms flew around Saskia and her colleague. “We literally said, ”It's great that you understand each other so well.“” But it wasn't just about the technology, Saskia noticed. "Bluecore always thinks along with us. You feel that they are genuinely involved with our organization. You can just trust them."
Very nice people
At the end of the interview, Saskia would like to give a compliment to the Bluecore experts.“Stef and Bart are not only knowledgeable but also very nice people. They can translate well what I need so that the IT builder understands. I am not an IT person, but they clearly explain to me what is happening. As a result, I understand better and better what is technically happening.”
