No internet? No problem with an offline CRM

Offline CRM

It may be difficult to imagine, but there are still places where there is no internet. This can be remote locations in a faraway country, but also a factory in the Randstad where there is a lot of steel. The big question: how do you work with a mobile CRM when you are offline?

The World Wide Web nowadays touches almost all aspects of working life. If the internet goes down at the office, many managers have no choice but to take an extra break. Work simply cannot be done...

Benefits of a mobile CRM

Employees who aren't at an office desk, but walk around a factory or are on their way to a customer, also need the internet. Via their smartphone or tablet, they have their CRM at their fingertips. Handy: then they don't have to perform any administrative tasks later. That's why especially in the (manufacturing) industry and technical professions a lot of use is made of a mobile CRM

But you' Faraday cage that blocks internet signals, much like an elevator shaft, for example. And then there are basements and outdoor areas where you have no or poor reception. Or take the busy professional who likes to keep working on the plane.

What is CRM.client?

There's good news: the factory manager, the elevator mechanic, and the airline director don't have to make do with notes on scraps of paper—a labor-intensive, error-prone, and outdated method. The solution is very simple: opt for a CRM app that allows you to work offline.

Aurea's CRM.client is specifically developed for professionals who are often on the road and don't always have a (good) internet connection. How does it work in practice? The service technician who wants to reorder parts from a lift shaft can simply fill in the relevant form in offline mode; when they are back above ground, the app connects and the data is sent. The same applies to the seed sales representative who has closed a sale with a farmer in Guatemala and wants to update the customer card immediately. They can complete the work right away, and the data will be sent as soon as there is internet again.

An example: Rijk Zwaan

A company that knows how important it is to be able to work offline is Rijk Zwaan. The family business in fruit and vegetable processing supplies seeds to growers in over a hundred countries, from Afghanistan to Switzerland. Many of the customers are farmers and market gardeners in areas of the world where internet connectivity is not always stable.

There were two reasons for choosing Aurea and CRM.client, Tom Post from Rijk Zwaan recently said in an interview: “The robust offline capabilities and the flexibility to seamlessly fit into our existing processes.”

Aurea makes it possible to have important information readily available anytime and anywhere, even in the most remote areas, and to process data effortlessly – directly from an iPad. “In short, Aurea keeps us connected, which helps us not to miss any opportunity to support our customers – wherever they are,” says Tom Post.
