Each year, Bluecore organizes a summer outing with the full team and partners just before the holiday season. This year, due to the tropical temperatures, we consciously chose a calm, cool day. Our Bluecore summer outing spent we at The Little Lord Cook in Vught.
Bluecore summer outing begins at Van der Valk Vught
In the late afternoon, we gathered at the Van der Valk Hotel in Vught. We had set up our mobile workstation so that we could continue to provide optimal support to our clients on this day as well. With a drink and a snack in hand, we chatted and caught up. For many colleagues, it was special to finally be together with the whole team again. Our advisors and consultants are often on-site with clients, while our support specialists do a lot of hybrid work.
What are we going to do? A surprise for the team
It was unclear to the team for a long time what the exact program of this Bluecore summer outing would be. With almost 36 degrees outdoors, the only priority was: good air conditioning. Normally, we at Bluecore are fond of active outings, so we were busily searching for dance events, escape rooms, and other activities.
Eventually, we were picked up by taxi vans. During the ride through Vught, there was surprise when after 15 minutes we seemed to be approaching the meeting point again. Was this a diversionary tactic? Shortly thereafter, we arrived at our surprise location.
Culinary evening at Le Petit De Heer Kocken
We were warmly welcomed at The Little Lord Cook in Vught with a refreshing drink and delicious snacks. The former De Heer Kocken, once awarded a Michelin star, has been transformed into an intimate and atmospheric concept where John and Kirsty now live and work. With only a limited number of tables and the option to dine at the kitchen bar, there's a unique, homey ambiance with the same high-quality food.
The rest of the evening, we were culinary surprised with beautiful dishes. We had a wonderful time catching up with each other and especially taking a moment for ourselves, away from all the business hustle. There was a lot of laughter, beautiful memories were shared, and we fully enjoyed each other's company. At Bluecore, we believe in work hard & play hard., and today that last one was absolutely on the agenda!
Michiel looked back on a beautiful period full of business successes and personal milestones. At the same time, we looked forward with enthusiasm to the 20th birthday from Bluecore next year.
A day to remember
After a pleasant evening, part of the group returned to the hotel, while some colleagues continued partying in Den Bosch. The next morning, we all enjoyed a delicious breakfast, after which everyone headed home, rested and satisfied.
